Troops arrest suspected bandit kingpin, accomplice in Kaduna

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have arrested a suspected notorious bandit and his accomplice along the Rigachukun–Kirama–Afaka axis in Kaduna State.
Security sources said the suspect, identified as Sule Ibrahim Adamu, was intercepted at about 6:43 p.m. on March 15 by troops deployed in the area.
A search conducted on him led to the recovery of a total sum of ₦447,000 and a mobile phone containing images linked to banditry activities.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is a member of a criminal syndicate led by a bandit kingpin identified as “Yellow,” operating within the Rijana Forest in Chikun Local Government Area.
Troops also apprehended an accomplice, identified as Adamu Waziri, during the operation.
Both suspects are currently in custody for further investigation and necessary action, while troops continue operations to dismantle bandit networks in the area.
