Troops Arrest Suspected Drug-Influenced Individual During Clearance Operation in Plateau

Troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12 of Operation Enduring Peace have arrested a suspect during a clearance operation at Maigemu village in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the operation was conducted at about 2:10 p.m. on May 20 on high ground areas within the community as part of ongoing efforts to rid the area of criminal elements.
During the operation, troops reportedly apprehended one Ibrahim Ahmed, 32, who was found under the influence of hard drugs.
Items recovered from him included one cutlass, an empty bag, and two lighters.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to Keystone Angware Division in Jos East for further investigation and necessary action.
Security sources said the clearance operation forms part of sustained efforts to deny criminal elements hiding spaces and reduce drug-related and violent crimes across Plateau State.
