Troops arrest suspected terrorist logistics supplier with motorcycle parts in Damasak

Troops of 5 Brigade, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected terrorist logistics supplier at Damasak in Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspect was apprehended at about 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2026, at the Delta Gate entrance of Damasak.
During the operation, the troops recovered one mobile phone and several motorcycle spare parts suspected to be intended for logistical support.
The recovered items included four motorcycle batteries, two brake pedals, one brake shoe, three gear selectors, two packs of indicator lights, two handle grips, two switches with wires, two clutch handles, five hand pumps, four pistons, three cartons of Borris and five headlamp bulbs.
The suspect and recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
