Troops Arrest Terrorist Informant, Three Suspects and Logistics Couriers in Kogi

Troops conducting counter-terrorism operations in Kogi State have arrested a suspected terrorist informant who confessed to working for a notorious terrorist kingpin identified as Kachallah Babangida.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspect was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation and, during preliminary interrogation, admitted to providing information and support to the terrorist leader.
In separate operations across Adavi and Lokoja Local Government Areas, troops also arrested three other suspected terrorists as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating within the state.
The sources further disclosed that troops intercepted two suspected terrorist logistics couriers transporting food items, beverages and cigarettes intended for terrorist elements operating in the area.
The suspects and recovered items have been taken into custody for further investigation to identify other members of the network and disrupt the group’s support structure.
Military sources said the operations are part of sustained intelligence-driven efforts to dismantle terrorist cells, apprehend collaborators and cut off logistics channels sustaining criminal groups in Kogi State and the wider North-Central region.
