Troops arrest three suspected terrorist collaborators in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested three suspected collaborators of Boko Haram/ISWAP in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno.
Security sources said the suspects were apprehended on April 13 by operatives of Sector 3 Military Intelligence Brigade in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Abari general area.
The suspects were identified as Falmata Abukar, 43; Halima Audu, 35; and Mairo Abba, 17.
According to the sources, the suspects were intercepted while attempting to move from Abari to Mararaba village in Kukawa Local Government Area.
Items recovered from them include 12 pairs of terrorist uniform materials, 176 bottles of herbicide, 22 wrappers, 24 assorted children’s clothes, a mosquito net, a mat, and the sum of N15,500.
The sources said the items were suspected to be logistics supplies intended for insurgents operating within the Lake Chad axis.
The suspects are currently in military custody and undergoing preliminary investigation to determine the extent of their involvement and possible links to terrorist networks.
