Troops of Operation MESA have arrested three suspected terrorist collaborators during a raid operation in Oshokoshoko village, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

A security source disclosed that the operation was conducted at about 2:00 p.m. on March 28 by troops of 12 Brigade deployed at Apamaru patrol base, in collaboration with local vigilantes.

According to the source, two of the suspects were initially arrested for allegedly providing information on troop movements to the Kachalla Babangida terrorist group.

He added that further exploitation of the area led to the arrest of an additional suspect, who was allegedly involved in collecting and remitting ransom payments from victims’ families to the criminal network.

“The suspects are currently in troops’ custody for further investigation and necessary action,” the source said.

The source noted that the raid is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal support networks and disrupt kidnapping operations in Kogi State and surrounding areas.
