Troops arrest two suspected Sara-Suka members in Plateau

Troops of Sector 1 Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP), in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested two suspected Sara-Suka members in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 12:30 a.m. on May 29 following reports of violent disturbances allegedly caused by the group around Rikkos and the New Market axis.
According to the sources, troops swiftly mobilised to the area in response to distress calls from residents.
The joint security team reportedly apprehended two suspects while others fled upon sighting security operatives.
The sources added that the arrested suspects are currently in custody and undergoing preliminary investigation.
Security authorities said efforts were ongoing to track down other fleeing members of the group and restore normalcy in the affected areas.
They reaffirmed commitment to sustaining peace and ensuring public safety across Jos North and its environs.
