Troops under Operation Fansan Yamma have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in Kwara State.

Security sources said the arrest was made at about 5:00 p.m. on March 21 during an operation under Operation Savannah Shield in Patigi Local Government Area.

According to the report, troops of Sector 1, deployed at a Forward Operating Base in Patigi, acted on credible intelligence about suspected logistics suppliers moving items to terrorists along the Ndanaku–Latan Daji forest axis.

The troops laid an ambush along the route and made contact with the suspects, leading to their arrest.

Items recovered from them included 15 cartons of assorted drinks, cooking oil, tramadol and other supplies suspected to be meant for terrorist elements.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects confessed to being involved in supplying logistics to terrorists.

The suspects and recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
