Troops of 103 Battalion (Motorised) have uncovered an illegal pipeline installation suspected to be used for crude oil theft activities in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Security sources said the discovery was made at about 4:45 p.m. on May 13 during a routine patrol operation in Okarki Forest area.
The troops reportedly identified an illegal pipe connection stretching about 600 metres, believed to have been used for the siphoning of crude oil.
