Troops dismantle IPOB/ESN enclave during offensive operation in Enugu

Joint troops of Sector 1, comprising 82 Division Garrison and 103 Battalion of Operation UDO KA, have carried out an offensive operation against suspected IPOB/ESN terrorists in Ajali Forest, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Security sources said that at about 10:30 a.m., following intelligence reports on terrorist activities in the area, the troops engaged the suspects, forcing them to flee.
The troops subsequently conducted thorough exploitation and clearance of the forest, using five bulldozers to dismantle potential hideouts.
The troops continue to monitor and dominate the general area to deny the irredentist group freedom of action, while the operation remains ongoing.
