Troops Foil Kidnapping Attempt, Rescue Two Women in Katsina

The troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have foiled a kidnapping attempt in Turare Village, Dutsinma Local Government Area, rescuing two women unhurt.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred around 2:18 a.m. when armed bandits stormed the village and abducted two wives of a local resident, Yusuf Tsalha Mai Sa’ida.
Troops were swiftly deployed who engaged the bandits in a fierce gun duel, forcing them to abandon their captives and flee with possible gunshot wounds.
The victims, identified as 35-year-old Dahara Yusuf and 25-year-old Jamila Yusuf, were safely rescued and reunited with their family.
