Troops intercept 11 empty CNG cylinders, open-loop kit in Borno

Troops of the 233 Tank Battalion have intercepted a vehicle conveying 11 empty Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cylinders and a Greco open-loop kit without the required clearance.
Zagazola gathered that the incident occurred at about 1:00 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2026, when troops deployed at Mega Checkpoint intercepted the vehicle during a routine stop-and-search operation.
The troops apprehended the driver and recovered the 11 empty CNG cylinders and one Greco open-loop kit.
The items were reportedly being transported without security clearance, prompting the troops to detain the driver for further investigation.
The apprehended driver and recovered items remain in military custody for further action.
