Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 6, when troops deployed at Lamingo responded to a report of destruction of farmland belonging to 36-year-old Mr Izang Igyem.
The troops, upon arrival at the scene, intercepted one cow, while the herder reportedly fled after sighting the security personnel.
The recovered cattle was moved to the troops’ location for further action and an amicable resolution of the matter.
