Troops killed many ISWAP terrorists in a failed attack in Yobe

The Nigerian Army troops of 27 Task Force Brigade, Operation Hadin Kai, have nutrialised many ISWAP terrorists in a failed attack in the axis Buni Yadi in Yobe State.
This is coming few hourz after the Islamic State of the West African(ISWAP), terrorists group released a propaganda video denouncing the 2023 election and threatening to disrupt it
It was gathered that the terrorists came on motorcycles to the outskirt of the town at about 6:21pm and fired several motar bombs targeting the military base, but the bombs fell in a different directions without recording any impact.
A Security Sources told Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad region that on sighting the troops, the terrorists fled toward the axis of Goniri.
The sources said that the troops chased the terrorists and engaged them in a gun battle, as a result nutrialised some of them in the process while others escaped.
The sources explained that the terrorists were later sighted evacuating dead bodies of the fighters.
"After sighting them, our troops fired several Artillary towards the locations. This is their second failed attack on our troops. Last week, they claimed to fired 5 mortar shells at our base and claimed it was victory even as its only landed in the bushes.
"They wanted to try their luck today and they lost badly,"he said.
