Troops launch pursuit after cattle rustling by suspected Berom Militia in Plateau

Troops of Sector 4, Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP), have launched a pursuit of suspected Berom Militia who rustle and stole an unspecified number of cattle belonging to Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred at about 8:34 a.m. on Sept. 10 at Langei village, where the cattle were reportedly rustled by the criminals.
Military sources said the troops responded to the report and immediately initiated pursuit of the rustlers through identified escape routes.
However, no contact was established with the fleeing suspects during the operation.
Efforts are ongoing to track down the rustlers and recover the stolen cattle, while troops continue to maintain surveillance around the affected communities.
