Troops Launch Search Operation After Motorcycle Robbery in Plateau

Troops of Sector 3 of Operation Enduring Peace have launched a search operation following a reported armed attack and robbery along Twin Hill Road in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on May 20 when suspected local criminals allegedly attacked one Samson Tinge at Rewienko village and forcefully dispossessed him of his motorcycle.
Following the report, troops immediately mobilised and conducted a search operation within the general area in an attempt to track down the suspects.
However, no contact was established with the fleeing attackers during the initial sweep.
Security sources said fighting patrols were subsequently intensified in the area to deny criminal elements freedom of action and prevent further attacks along the route.
Authorities added that operations were ongoing to locate the suspects and recover the stolen motorcycle.
