roops of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Potiskum, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested 11 suspected drug peddlers during a joint raid operation in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2026, following a coordinated raid on Ganda, Wudil and Degubi Bare Bari communities in Fika LGA.

The troops and NDLEA personnel apprehended 11 suspects during the operation and recovered suspected illicit drugs, including cannabis, Tramadol capsules, Diazepam and Exol tablets.

The sources said the suspects and recovered items were subsequently handed over to the NDLEA office in Potiskum for further investigation and necessary legal action.

The operation is part of ongoing joint efforts by security and law-enforcement agencies to disrupt the illicit drug trade and prevent the circulation of controlled substances in the North-East.
