Troops rescue suspect from mob, recover motorcycle in Plateau

Troops under Operation Safe Haven have rescued a suspected criminal from mob action and recovered a motorcycle in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 2:10 p.m. on March 19, when troops of Sector 1 Sub-Sector 12, deployed at Lamingo, responded to reports of an attempted lynching at Forbur Market.
The suspect was alleged to have stolen a motorcycle and was being attacked by irate youths before the arrival of the troops.
The troops intervened promptly, rescued the suspect, and recovered the motorcycle from the scene.
The suspect and the recovered motorcycle have been handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and necessary action.
