Troops, NDLEA arrest two suspected drug suppliers to terrorists in Katsina raid

Troops of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Malumfashi, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested two suspected drug traffickers allegedly supplying illicit substances to terrorists and other criminal elements in Katsina State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspects were apprehended at about 5:10 p.m. on July 24 during a joint raid on Sabowa Kasa Village in Kafur Local Government Area.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly involved in the supply of hard drugs and other illicit substances to terrorists and criminal groups operating within Kafur and adjoining communities.
During the operation, the security team recovered 11.4 grams of tramadol capsules and an expired Manpower liquid substance, believed to be among the items traded by the suspects.
Following the operation, the suspects and the recovered exhibits were handed over to the NDLEA Area Command in Malumfashi for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Security sources said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the supply networks sustaining terrorist and criminal activities in the North-West, particularly by disrupting access to illicit drugs frequently abused by armed groups.
