The troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have neutralized a suspected bandit collaborator known as Dama Dandan Boyi during an operation in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that Dama, a Hausa man who previously worked as a security guard at a cotton processing company in Tsafe, later became involved with Fulani armed groups. He was reportedly married to four wives.
On the night of March 17, security forces encountered Dama and a group of suspected bandits under a mango tree in the outskirts of Tsafe.
Upon sighting the operatives, the armed Fulani men fled on a motorcycle, leaving Dama behind. He was shot and killed on the spot.
Dama was a native of Makera, a community in Tsafe Local Government Area. Authorities believe he had been providing support to criminal elements operating in the region.
