Troops Neutralize Three Boko Haram Terrorists in Gwoza LGA, Borno State

The troops of Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and a hybrid force, successfully neutralized three terrorists during a fighting patrol along the Ashigashiya road in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The operation, took place on 27th September 2024. During the encounter, the troops made contact with the terrorists, resulting in the nutrialisation of three insurgents, while others fled the scene.

However, the troops suffered casualties as one CJTF member was killed in action, and a hybrid force member was wounded in an ambush set by the fleeing terrorists.

The injured personnel were promptly evacuated to receive medical treatment, while the deceased CJTF member was laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
