Troops Recover Corpse of Unidentified Man in Jos South

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have recovered the corpse of an unidentified man in Gero Village, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the discovery was made on Friday following a report from residents about a body found behind Cherry Gas in the area.
According to the sources, troops of Sector 6, OPSH, were immediately deployed to the scene, where they found the corpse bearing multiple injuries and bruises.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the victim might have been attacked by unidentified criminals before his death.
The identity of the deceased had yet to be established as of the time of filing this report.
Security personnel have commenced investigations into the incident, while efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend those responsible for the suspected killing.
Authorities urged residents with useful information to assist security agencies in their investigations.
