Troops of Sector 4, Operation Enduring Peace, have recovered a cow after responding to a report of alleged farmland destruction in Razat Village, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, when troops deployed at Kurra Falls responded to the report.

Upon arrival at the location, the troops found cows grazing on the farmlands, while the herders reportedly fled after sighting the security personnel.

The herders abandoned one of the cows at the scene, which was recovered by the troops and moved to their location.

The recovered animal was taken to the troops’ location to facilitate an amicable resolution of the matter between the parties involved.

Efforts are ongoing to address the incident and prevent further escalation between farmers and herders in the area.
