Gunmen suspected to be locals kill motorcycle rider along Matelem-Ndung road in Plateau

Gunmen suspected to be locals have killed a man identified as Mr Danladi Idi Dakum while riding his motorcycle along the Matelem-Ndung road in Tangur District of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, when troops of Sector 5 deployed at Matelem responded to a report of an attack along the road.
The victim was reportedly attacked by motorcycle snatchers while travelling on his motorcycle at the late hour. The troops arrived at the location and found the victim’s body.
The corpse was subsequently evacuated to a mortuary for preservation and further necessary action.
Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing by the security forces to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
