Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have recovered a motorcycle stolen from a 45-year-old man during a cutlass attack at Nabir Dutse village in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 8:10 p.m. on November 1, 2026, when troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, deployed at Kudedu, responded to a report of an attack on Mr Maje Musa.
The sources said the victim was reportedly attacked with a cutlass by suspected criminals who subsequently snatched his motorcycle.
However, the troops' swift arrival at the scene forced the assailants to abandon the motorcycle and flee into a nearby bush.
The troops recovered the motorcycle and handed it over to village vigilantes for further necessary action.
The injured victim was evacuated to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) for medical attention.
