Troops repel attack on security location in Jos South

Troops of Sector 6 under Operation Enduring Peace have repelled an attack by unidentified gunmen on a military location at the Federal College of Science and Technology, Vom, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 10:20 p.m. on April 3 when the attackers reportedly attempted to breach the position occupied by troops deployed under Operation Enduring Peace.
The troops, with reinforcement from personnel of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), successfully repelled the attack after a brief exchange of fire.
One soldier was injured and was immediately evacuated to ECWA Hospital for medical attention.
Security sources added that follow-up operations have been launched to track down the assailants.
