Plateau: COAS holds Easter luncheon with troops in Jos North

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. W. Shaibu, has reiterated the Nigerian Army’s commitment to boosting troop morale and strengthening inter-agency collaboration in the fight against insecurity across the country.
The COAS was represented by the Commander-in-Chief’s representative, Maj.-Gen. G.M. Mutkut, during an Easter luncheon held at Headquarters Operation Safe Haven (OPEP) in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the event brought together senior military officers, heads of security agencies in Plateau State, senior retired officers, and personnel of the 3 Division and Operation Safe Haven.
The GOC 3 Division and Commander Operation Safe Haven, Maj.-Gen. E.F. Oyinlola, received the COAS representative at the venue.
The luncheon formed part of the Army leadership’s initiative to motivate troops, enhance synergy among security agencies, and promote peace-building efforts within the Joint Operations Area.
In his remarks, Maj.-Gen. Oyinlola commended troops for their sustained efforts in maintaining relative peace in Plateau State and urged them to remain resilient, courageous, and professional in the discharge of their duties.
Military authorities said the event was peaceful and concluded without incident.
