Two Bandits Neutralized, AK-47 Rifle Recovered in Bauchi

A coordinated security operation in Alkaleri Local Government Area on August 8, 2025, resulted in the death of two armed bandits and the recovery of an AK-47 rifle.
Zagazola Makama learnt that about 4:00 p.m., six armed bandits were spotted between Dogon Ruwa village and Yakaki Forest during a routine patrol involving local vigilante groups from Duguri Town.
The team trailed the suspects, setting up an ambush that led to a brief but intense gunfight.
Two of the assailants were neutralized, and an AK-47 rifle without ammunition was recovered from the scene.
