Tyre burst causes vehicle accident involving troops in Niger State

One officer and five soldiers were injured in a road traffic accident involving troops of 31 Brigade Nigerian Army and a civilian contractor in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State, security sources said on Monday.
The incident occurred on March 15 before Mutum Daya junction while the personnel were travelling from Forward Operating Base Sarkin Pawa.
According to the sources, the accident was caused by a tyre burst, which resulted in the vehicle overturning.
The officer and five soldiers were initially stabilised at the 31 Brigade Medical Centre, with the officer and two of the soldiers later referred for further medical attention.
