Vigilante group in Katsina neutralized 25 bandits, seizes their arms and motorcycles

A joint task force reportedly engaged bandits in a fierce gun battle and killed 25 bandits in North West of Safana in Kastina state.

The deadly encounter occurred in Kiratawa village on May 28 when the terrorists loyal to Abu Radi attempted to invade the village.

Zagazola Makama gathered from sources that the courageous government backed militia otherwise known as Askarawa engaged the terrorists in a fierce encounter which lasted for several hours killing 25 of them while several others escaped with bullet wounds.

The sources said that among those killed were some of the top fighters of Abu Radi like Salisu Burutai, Kir and Sale while Abu Radi was said to have escaped.

The vigilante also recovered several riffle and motorcycles belonging to the terrorists.
