Vigilante misfires in Katsina, injures three family members

Three members of a family have sustained gunshot injuries following accidental discharge by a vigilante member in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Monday afternoon at Gidan Mutum Daya, where the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Tukur Mustapha of the Community Watch Corps, allegedly misfired his weapon.
The victims were identified as 28-year-old Murja Lawal, her two-year-old daughter Anisa Lawal, and 26-year-old Abba Lawal. They all sustained injuries to their legs.
They were rushed to the Teaching Hospital, Katsina, where they are currently receiving treatment.
The suspect fled the scene after the incident, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend him.
