Violent Attack by JNIM-AQMI Affiliates in Dosso Region Leaves Six Dead
On Saturday, September 21, 2024, a violent attack by elements affiliated with the Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) and Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) targeted the customs post in Tombo, located within the municipality of Dioundiou in the Dosso region.
The assault, which occurred early in the evening, claimed the lives of six individuals. Among the victims were two policemen, two customs officers, and two civilians, according to local reports.
