Yobe: Terror attack in Gujba leaves one dead, properties destroyed

A suspected ISWAP attack in Madiya village, Gujba Local Government Area, Yobe State, left one man dead and properties destroyed.

 

Sources told Zagazola Makama that , on 2 December 2025 at about 2350 hours, a group of armed assailants stormed the residence of Umar Jalam, 50, shot him in the chest, and set his house ablaze. 

 

The attackers also burnt down a provision store and stole nine cows and one tricycle belonging to the villagers.

 

The victim was certified dead at General Hospital Gujba. 

 

Troops, in conjunction with vigilante groups and hunters, visited the scene and intensified efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects and recover the stolen properties.
