73 ISWAP terrorist and families surrendered to the Nigerian troops in Borno

Following renewed military onslaughts by troops of Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai, 73 ISWAP terrorists including their family members surrendered their weapons to the Nigerian Army in Borno State.
It was gathered that 42 of the insurgents and their family members comprising 4 males, 10 females and 28 children, from Bula Bello, Zaramari and Garno village surrendered to troops of 202 Battalion of 21 armored Brigade Bama on May 31, 2023.
A counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, gathered that 2 males, 7 females and 9 children, from Ngauri, Siraja and Nbellana village surrendered to troops of 152 Battalion.
One female and 13 children, from Bula Ashe, Guraba and Nemaila village surrendered to troops of 151 Battalion.
Additionally, 9 ISWAP members, 2 adult females and 6 children from Ukuba, surrendered to the troops of 26 Task Force Brigade Garrison in Gwoza.
Authorities of the Force say profiling of the surrendered terrorists is ongoing, after which the individuals will be handed over to the appropriate agencies for further handling.
Meanwhile, the troops of 222 Battalion nutrialised one Boko Haram terrorist during a night patrol at Waroba General area. The Operation was designed to deny the insurgents any freedom of action.
