FCT police conduct coordinated raids, arrest 61 suspects

As part of efforts to curb criminal activities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its environs, police operatives from Iddo, Karu, Maitama, Apo, Kabusa, Karshi, Kubwa, Nyanya, and Gwagwa divisions conducted coordinated raids on May 21, 2025, at about 2340 hours.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operations targeted known criminal hotspots and uncompleted buildings within their respective jurisdictions.
The sources said that a total of 61 suspects were arrested during the raids. Police also recovered quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.
The sources added that all suspects are currently in police custody undergoing screening and interrogation as investigations continue.
