Again, Nigerian Airstrikes kills scores of ISWAP in Marte
Again, the Nigerian military has successfully neutralized numerous fighters in carefully coordinated airstrikes near Lake Chad in Borno State.
The airstrikes took place on Sunday June 18, 2023, and targeted the river banks of Kwalaram, Bukar Mairam, Abbaganaram and Yarwa Kura in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.
These decisive victories were achieved through weeks of meticulous Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions that identified the locations of the terrorists
Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region, received this information from intelligence sources.
The sources said, following the airstrikes by the troops of the Air Component, ground assessments indicated that the troops naturalized scores of the fighters and destroyed makeshift tents used by the terrorists as safe havens.
"This successful offensive is part of OPERATION WARUN 3, an ongoing campaign aimed at eradicating Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists from the North East,"said the source.
