Air Force knocks out ISWAP on canoes, killing dozens

The Air  Force Component of Operation HADIN KAI, has knocked out another Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists  in Marte Local Government Area in Borno State.

 

It was gathered that the  airstrikes were conducted on Nov. 18, 2023, at BARANGA village within the fringes of Lake Chad.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the opportunity strike presented itself when several terrorists were spotted on canoes  while on an armed reconnaissance mission in the area. 

The sources said that the target was engaged, eliminating scores of the terrorists conveyed in canoes. 

Subsequently, the Air Force also engaged and destroyed  nearby structures that went ablaze, possibly some of their logistics storages.

The sources said that the air raid was in continuation of the air offensive against terrorist elements in the North East.
