Armed bandits foiled in Sokoto, victims rescued and livestock recovered

A combined troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have repelled Armed bandits attacked Gidan Koro village in Kwargaba District, Sokoto State.
The troops also rescued all kidnapped victims and recovered rustled livestock.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the assailants, reported to be in large numbers and wielding sophisticated weapons, stormed the village around 10:30 p.m., on Nov. 27, firing sporadically and abducting several residents while seizing domestic animals.
A coordinated response from the troops engaged the attackers in a gun duel that lasted for some time, forcing them to flee into nearby bushes with apparent gunshot injuries.
All victims were rescued unhurt, and the livestock taken during the attack were abandoned and recovered.
No casualties were recorded among the villagers or the responding security forces.
