Armed herders kill two farmers in Benue

Atleast two farmers were killed by suspected armed herders in Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area of the state.

 

Sources said that the incident occurred on Sept. 26.

 

Sources said that security forces in Naka, received a distress call that one Tersue Felix Ape of Akpagher community went to his farm when suspected armed herders attacked and shot him dead.

 

“On arrival at the scene, patrol and tactical teams recovered two corpses, which were photographed and deposited at the General Hospital mortuary, Naka,” the sources said.

 

Sources said  that efforts were ongoing to track down the perpetrators, while the State Criminal Investigation Department had commenced investigation.
