Armed Robbery Attack in Potiskum, Yobe State

Two men were victims of an armed robbery attack while traveling from Babangida town to Danchuwa village in Potiskum LGA on May 9, 2025.
Bello Ibrahim and Haruna Mohammed, both of Anguwan Seriki area in Danchuwa, were attacked by unknown assailants armed with cutlasses, bows, arrows, and sticks near Banalewa village.
In an attempt to escape, Haruna Mohammed fell off their motorcycle and was attacked with machetes, rendering him unconscious. The assailants stole approximately one million seven hundred and fifty thousand naira from the victims.
Bello Ibrahim sustained injuries from a bow and arrow to his stomach. The victims were promptly transported to Specialist Hospital Potiskum, where they are receiving treatment and are reportedly responding well.
Security forces are intensifying efforts to apprehend the suspects.
