Army arrest suspected terrorist doctor in Tsafe LGA, destroy hideout in Zamfara

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have arrested a suspected terrorist medical practitioner during a raid operation in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 5:00 a.m. on April 6, 2026, following intelligence on the activities of a suspected medical facility allegedly being used to support terrorist operations in Bilbis community.
Troops of the Headquarters Operation Fansan Yamma Monitoring and Surveillance Team, in collaboration with the 1 Brigade Quick Response Force, reportedly stormed the location and arrested the suspect, identified as a doctor operating from a combined residence and chemist shop.
Following further exploitation of the area, troops reportedly uncovered a suspected terrorist hideout and a motorcycle, which was subsequently destroyed.
Military said the suspect is in custody and undergoing investigation, while operations in the area are ongoing.
