BANDITS ATTACK GADO VILLAGE, ABDUCT RESIDENTS AND LOOT PROPERTY
Armed bandits launched an attack on Gado village in Unguwar Lalle, Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, in the early hours of Tuesday, abducting an unspecified number of residents and looting valuables, including livestock.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the assailants injured a young boy during the raid and forced several villagers into the nearby Sububu forest. The exact number of abducted individuals and stolen livestock remains unknown.
Sources indicate that the attack was allegedly carried out by armed groups led by Kachalla Haru and Kachalla Chomo, notorious bandit leaders operating in the Sububu forest.
These groups are believed to be remnants of Halilu Sububu’s network, with access to weapons and several hideouts spanning Galadi, Maradun, Gundumi, and Raba forest areas.
