Berom Militia slaughter cow inside primary school premises in Plateau

Troops of Sector 4, Operation Hakorin Kadduna (OPEP), have launched a manhunt for Berom militia who allegedly attacked cattle and slaughtered one cow inside the premises of Lakara Primary School in Bisichi Village, Foron District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 7:40 a.m. on Sept. 24, 2026.
The troops, deployed at Bisichi, were said to have responded to a report of an attack on cattle by unidentified criminals around Lakara Primary School.
The source said that upon arrival at the location, the troops discovered one cow that had been slaughtered inside the primary school premises.
The perpetrators had, however, fled the area before the arrival of the troops.
Following the incident, the troops dominated the general area and commenced offensive operations and a manhunt for the fleeing criminals.
Efforts are ongoing to identify the perpetrators and establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
