Boko Haram terrorists fled as troops of Operation Hadin Kai stormed enclaves

Boko Haram terrorists and their families have reportedly fled following an agressive incursion into their enclaves in Gazuwa by the troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK).
It was gathered that a combined troops in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force, supported by the 21 Army Armoured Brigade Bama, on Sunday June 19, 2022, destroyed "Gazuwa camp" an acclaimed Headquarters of the Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād, Boko Haram faction.
Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and a Security Analyst in the LakeChad has previously reported that Gazuwa was formerly known as Gabchari, Mantari and Mallum Masari, located about 9 kilometers to Bama Local Government of Borno state
The Sunday night attack was coordinated against the terrorists following credible intelligence that the location was harbouring over 3,000 insurgents and their families.
It was gathered that during the troop's advancement, the terrorists planted an Improvised Explosive Device(IED), on the road in the axis of Matari to prevent the troops from advancing towards their camp.
The sources said "The IED attack led to the destruction one vehicle of the troops and causing injuries but the troops relentlessly continued their fighting patrol into the enclaves of the terrorists.
"On our arrival, the terrorists fled and left their belongings including hards of animals on the camp. We destroyed over 200 houses in the camps and villages,"said the sources.
The sources disclosed that the terrorists fled toward the axis of Kala Balga where they are seeking new hiding places.
