Troops of 232 Battalion (Tactical) have arrested suspected members of terrorist groups during a cordon-and-search operation in Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Security sources said the operation was conducted at about 12:15 a.m. on April 6, 2026, in Worubude and Yelwa communities, with support from local professional hunters.
The operation reportedly led to the arrest of suspected members linked to the Islamic State West Africa Province and Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad.
The suspects are currently in custody for further investigation and follow-up action.
Security authorities said operations in the area are ongoing to sustain pressure on terrorist elements and prevent regrouping.
