Gunmen abduct aide to ex-Governor Almakura in Nasarawa

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted Alhaji Adamu, Personal Assistant to former Governor of Nassarawa State, Sen. Tanko Almakura, from his residence in Lafia.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Aug. 15 at about 3:40 a.m. at the victim’s residence located at No. 45 Alkali Street, Lafia.
“Eyewitness accounts confirmed that the victim was taken away by unknown persons,” he said.
According to sources , patrol teams, the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, and other tactical units were swiftly deployed to the scene to track the hoodlums and rescue the victim.
The authorities assured that every effort was being made to rescue the victim unharmed and to arrest the perpetrators.
