Gunmen abduct businessman in Kogi community

A 41-year-old businessman, Samson Abutu, has been abducted by unknown gunmen in Odenyi Community, Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State.

 

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday, July 5, at about 10:00 p.m., when residents of the community were startled by sporadic gunfire.

 

According to sources, the attackers struck under the cover of darkness, targeting the residence of the businessman and whisking him away to an unknown destination.

 

A traditional leader in the community, Prince Denda Dagana, confirmed the incident and expressed concern over the growing insecurity in the area.

 

Meanwhile, security operatives have visited the scene and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.
