Troops repel simultaneous terrorist attacks in Sokoto

Troops of 8 Division Garrison have repelled simultaneous attacks by suspected terrorists on troops at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Tidibale and Tidibale Village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Military sources told Zagazola Makama that the attacks occurred at about 12:10 a.m. on Sept. 6, when the terrorists launched coordinated assaults on the military position and the nearby community.
The troops responded and successfully repelled the attacks. One soldier sustained a gunshot wound and was evacuated for medical attention.
Two gun trucks were also immobilised after sustaining direct gunfire to their fuel tanks, resulting in the vehicles catching fire.
The troops have maintained their positions and continued security operations in the area to prevent further attacks.
