Gunmen abduct community leader in Niger’s Kontagora LGA

Unidentified armed men have abducted a resident, identified as Alhaji Buba, during a late-night attack on his residence in Tudun-Wada community via Tungan-Kawo Village, Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.
Zagazola gathered that the incident occurred on Monday at about 11:30 p.m., when the assailants stormed the area and forcefully took the victim away to an unknown destination.
Local sources said the attackers shot sporadically into the air to scare residents before whisking their target away.
Security personnel visited the scene shortly after the incident and have since launched a manhunt to track down the abductors and rescue the victim unharmed.
As of the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of Alhaji Buba remain unknown, but efforts are ongoing to secure his release and apprehend the perpetrators.
