Joint security forces conduct raid operation in Imo

A combined team of security agencies has conducted a raid operation along the Eketutu–Uda axis in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State to deny suspected IPOB/ESN elements from re-establishing presence in the area.
A security source said the operation, carried out at about 1:35 a.m. on March 27, involved troops of the 34 Artillery Brigade, alongside personnel of the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The source disclosed that the joint team conducted thorough searches of several suspected hideouts during the raid.
According to the source, the exercise was conducted without any incident, and was concluded successfully.
The source said the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to sustain pressure on criminal elements and deny them freedom of action in the South-East region.
